Would people please volunteer to drag a table outside the Honors Center and hawk tickets during lunch hour? I have volunteered for the Tues. and Thurs. Shift next week.

Wed. Night Meeting At Seekers

Please be advised that there will be a short meeting on Wed. night the 29th at Seekers, at 7:45 to check our progress on Spring Fling and MEHA.

This is in addition to our regular meeting this Thursday, the 30th at noon. Those that cannot attend one meeting will hopefully be able to meet at the other!

Next Meeting This Thursday!

THE 30TH OF MARCH will be the next meeting of the Honors Club! At Noon! In the Honors Center!

As you know, searching for materials for Spring Fling Revenge of the Nerds Obstacle Course is underway. If you would like to help scour for gift baskets or help gather materials, please contact me at kathlizabeth@hotmail.com.

Preparations for MEHA are also underway, and we need ideas for a theme for our Honors Poster Proposal. Please let me know if any of you artists would be able to help us design and develop the poster.

Movie Night + Other Stuff

The next movie night will be This Monday.... March 20th and 7:45 pm. There will be subs, and the movie will be "Walk the Line," the Academy-Award winning biopic about Johnny Cash!

Hope to see you all there! If you would like to bring a sweet treat that would be cool... the subs will hopefully cover the meal portion but we will need desert!

Also... hope everyone is pitching in with our Spring Fling day. Pick up some tickets to start selling for the obstacle course on Monday.

Meeting Clarification

The meeting will be the first Tuesday back in school--not over spring break--at noon in the Honors Center lounge.

THIS IS IMPORTANT

For all those who don't know, the Honors Group has a whole day of Spring Fling to organize--Revenge of the Nerds, obstacle course style. In plain English, the Honors Club is organizing an obstacle course race during the school spirit week of Spring fling that pits professors against students, with a prize of gift baskets at the end. The obstacle course includes a tricycle ride, carrying a marble with chopsticks, and breaking SEVERAL pinatas. I will post a picture of the obstacle course track (on the grassy knoll) soon.

I really, really, need you guys to help on this. Really. Really.

What this means, dudes and dudettes, is that we have a few major areas that we need people to volunteer to man up:

1. PROPS - Anna has already agreed to be prop master, but she will need help

2. TICKET GURU - We need someone to design and organize ticket sales (1$ each)

3. MONEY COLLECTION BOX GURU - Pretty self explanitory there

4. HELPERS ON THE DAY OF THE EVENT

5. MARKETING GURUS - Help spread the word

6. RECRUITERS - To get people to participate, especially professors

7. GIFT BASKET MAKERS - People to ask businesses to donate small items/gift certificates for the gift baskets for all the contestants

We are going to have a meeting about Spring fling next Tuesday at Noon. Please be there... the Honordons need you!
